Held for the first time in March 2009, the awards attracted all the enterprising and creative CEOs and financiers of the media sector and was regarded as stylish and chic, while very much business focused. The dinner was held at Vinopolis, a modern environment created out of the industrial heritage of London, and was much enjoyed by its stellar guest list. It was hosted by Davina MCCall and the Lifetime Achievement award was presented to Bob Geldof by the Duchess of York. Awards ranged from Entrepreneur of the Year to UK Media Company of the Year.
